
Starting in 2024, Online Policing Solutions, Inc. began offering the opportunity for students involved in the New Jersey Cumberland County Technical Education Center’s law enforcement program to apply for college scholarships through the “Noble Shield” scholarship program.
Every year through the “Noble Shield” program, scholarship awards ranging from $250.00 – $500.00 are awarded to students who are enrolled in criminal justice programs and intend to pursue a career in law enforcement. The scholarships can be used at any accredited college, university or technical/vocational school. Best of all? All scholarship funds are paid in advance.
Understanding the Process
What are the requirements?

Step 1: Enrollment and GPA
All applicants must be enrolled in the CCTEC four (4) year law enforcement program for all four (4) years and maintained a 3.5 GPA. (A copy of the students transcript must be submitted.)

Step 2: Career of Service
Each applicant must be pursuing a college degree in the field of criminal justice with the intent to pursue a career in the criminal justice field.

Step 3: Essay
Each applicant must submit a 500 word written essay on how they plan to use a career in law enforcement to better our community and country.

Step 4: References
Each applicant must submit at least two (2) letters of recomendations from a teacher or from an active duty law enforcement offical operating in a leadership position.
Selection Process
Initial Review
All applications and supporting documents must be submitted by January 15th of the graduating year. The scholarship committee will begin the initial review process.
Evaluation
By April 15th, the scholarship committee will thoroughly evaluate each application based on the provided documents and eligibility criteria.
Final Decision
All selections and scholarship awards will be announced at CCTEC’s Scholarship Ceremony in June of the graduating year.
