“Project One.NJ” is a National Law Enforcement and Community Policing Integrated Network supported initiative, launched specifically for State of New Jersey law enforcement agencies. The initiative is dedicated to uniting every law enforcement agency and officer in the State of New Jersey on the already established OPS CONNECT™ network platform by the end of 2026. Through this effort, participating agencies will take advantage of special incentive programs and expanded access to shared collaborative assets and real-time interoperability tools available on the network — positioning New Jersey to become the nation’s first statewide law enforcement apparatus operating as one on a fully integrated – collaborative policing platform.

New Jersey has long been a leader in innovative policing and in 2025 began the mission of a fully integrated collaborative policing model with the implementation of the statewide “Law Enforcement Notification | Sharing” (LENS™) platform, operating from within the secure OPS CONNECT™ network. For the first time, each and every officer across an entire state, no matter what agency or what capacity they are serving, was completely connected and could share information, issue alerts, distribute wanted and missing persons flyers, share images, videos, documents and more while at the same time, respond in real-time, from any device – completely transforming the meaning of multi-jurisdictional law enforcement resource sharing and collaboration.

With the success of this incredible achievement, New Jersey agencies were placed in a unique position to take a major step in the collaborative policing evolution. Project One.NJ” was launched to make this evolution a reality.

The mission is simple:

Connect every officer, every agency, and every resource across New Jersey on the secure, statewide OPS CONNECT™ network. From real-time officer to officer messaging, resource allocation and group communication, to full investigative, event and operational management and collaboration to agency managed and inter-agency community policing assets, New Jersey agencies will have the flexibility to impact the entire region on the OPS CONNECT™ platform with the assistance of “ProjectOne.NJ”.

By doing so, New Jersey will establish a seamless, collaborative policing ecosystem that strengthens communication, enhances operational efficiency, and ensures every officer has the tools they need to protect and serve their community more effectively.

Why It Matters

When agencies work together, communities are safer. “Project One.NJ” was created to assist with providing the funding assistance and access needed to bring local, county, and state law enforcement under one digital roof (OPS CONNECT™) — allowing for:

    • Faster communication and coordination during emergencies, joint operations, and investigations.

    • Streamlined resource management that connect all statewide resources during an event or emergency, saving critical time.

    • Shared intelligence and insights that help prevent crime and improve response times.

    • Access to unified community engagement tools that build trust and transparency with residents.

    • Statewide data integration that supports accountability, reporting, and evidence-based policing.

    • Access to advanced technology to drastically enhance agency operations, efficiency and legal protections.

By the end of 2026, it is the aim that New Jersey become the first state in the country where every officer, regardless of agency or jurisdiction serves as one unified team, always at the ready to respond and collaborate on OPS CONNECT™ – one centralized, approved and court compliant network platform.

How Agencies Can Participate

To make participation on the OPS CONNECT™ network easy and fiscally responsible, “Project One.NJ” was initiated to provide several entry pathways designed for agencies of all sizes — from the smallest municipal departments to large county and state divisions.

Through these special and limited time “Project One.NJ” programs, agencies can:

    • Access special implementation packages through state and regional partnerships, saving thousands in annual support fees.

    • Receive advanced technical onboarding assistance and training for all personnel.

    • Gain lifetime network services and software benefits through early activation incentives.

    • Participate in collaborative task groups to shape the future of the OPS CONNECT™ statewide.

Joining “Project One.NJ” isn’t just about adopting new technology — it’s about taking part in the OPS CONNECT™ movement that is re-defining the next era of policing in New Jersey.

As “ProjectOne.NJ” advances, regional trainings will be taking place across the state to provide hands-on insights on how to fully capitalize on the active assets within the network.
