Pelham Police Department, MA Joins NPS-AID

February 25, 2026

Welcome Massachusetts to the National Public Safety Alliance for Individuals with Disabilities (NPS-AID).

The Pelham Police Department is proud to announce the launch of its local NPS-AID chapter — a meaningful step forward in strengthening relationships with individuals with disabilities, families, caregivers, and advocacy partners throughout the community. By joining this growing national initiative, Pelham is aligning itself with agencies across the country committed to smarter, safer, and more compassionate public safety practices.

Through NPS-AID, officers gain access to critical, pre-encounter awareness tools that help them better understand individual needs before a call for service ever begins. The result is improved communication, reduced uncertainty during interactions, and a stronger foundation of trust between law enforcement and the residents they serve.

This launch represents more than technology — it reflects leadership, collaboration, and a shared commitment to ensuring every member of the community is met with preparedness, dignity, and care.

Pelham is setting the standard.
