As released in a Camden County Press Release:
2/27/2023: In partnership with the Camden County Association of Chiefs of Police, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office is proud to announce the activation of the Camden County Law Enforcement Recruitment Portal. With the guidance and support of all Camden County law enforcement agencies, the portal was developed and is supported by the team at the National Law Enforcement and Community Policing Integrated Network, (commonly known as Online Policing Solutions or OPS Network), as a complimentary service to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office which is an OPS Network Partner Agency.
The Camden County Law Enforcement Recruitment Portal allows anyone interested in a law enforcement career in Camden County to easily (from one centralized location):
• learn which agencies are currently in a recruitment phase and offering career opportunities;
• geo-locate Camden County agencies and connect with them direct from the portal;
• learn about what it takes to be a law enforcement officer in Camden County;
• learn about the Camden County Association of Chiefs of Police; and
• link directly to the Camden County College Police Academy website.
“In our continued quest to encourage the recruitment of quality future law enforcement professionals and promote diversity in our law enforcement agencies, this portal centralizes all of our Camden County recruitment efforts and allows interested candidates to streamline their career search,” said Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay
Camden County Association of Chiefs of Police President, Chief Shamus Ellis of the Brooklawn Police Department, commented, “Camden County represents the very finest in the law enforcement field, through the new Camden County Recruitment Portal together we will streamline and greatly enhance our recruiting efforts to attract the most qualified applicants.”
In October 2022, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office became a partner with the National Law Enforcement and Community Policing Integrated Network, commonly known as OPS Network, which is the nation’s first and only community policing network, global officer-to-officer communication platform, and law enforcement specific operating system. The OPS Network was specifically developed to create a secure gateway and partnership between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve, while streamlining agency operations, drastically expanding agency resources, and connecting law enforcement agencies, officers, and communities 24/7.
The partnership between the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office & the OPS Network afforded Camden County Law Enforcement the opportunity to create the Camden County Law Enforcement Recruitment Portal at no additional cost to any Camden County law enforcement agency listed on the recruiting portal.
